DoomD

The piece was inspired by a tutorial by Creativity & Coffee on YouTube.

Creating “DoomD” was one of those moments where art became a reaction to the world around me. It all started with a simple image of a guy hitchhiking, holding a sign that read “Nowhere.” It was a strange, almost hopeless image to begin with, but as I kept creating, I could not help but feel like it fit the mood perfectly.

I added splashes of paint and an orange crown, drawing inspiration from Jean-Michel Basquiat’s raw, street art energy to bring some chaotic color to the piece. The crown, in particular, was a nod to the absurdity of it all, the kind of misguided power that sometimes feels like it is leading us to nowhere.

The piece is both a reflection of frustration and an acknowledgment that sometimes, we just keep going, one step at a time, even when the road ahead seems uncertain and leading to nowhere.
