For years, I wanted to create more digital art but never quite made the time. Recently, an old Apple Pencil and my son’s new iPad helped reignite that creative spark. With a new motto to create for myself, this blog will document my fresh start and learning journey.

A fractured foot derailed my usual summer hiatus from computers and web design, leading to six weeks of forced chilling. This unexpected break became a creative opportunity, with an online course in mixed media art sparking a new passion.

Inspired by a friend’s weird ‘ageing’ portrait I saw as a kid, I later tried to picture 40-year-old me on my 30th birthday. Turns out, I was totally off when I thought I would look like a seafaring pirate look (and the epic beard I imagined).
