Inspired by Maurizio Cattelan’s famous art piece where he duct taped a banana to a wall, my digital artwork “Duct Tape Chilli” takes a playful twist.
In this version, I replaced the banana with a chilli. This is due to my new obsession with growing chillis and the launch of my YouTube channel, Forking Hot, where I’ll be sharing all things chilli-related, from growing tips to hot sauce creations. This piece is part of a little marketing stunt to grab attention and bring some fun to my new channel.
I’m currently reading Steal Like an Artist, and this work is a direct result of that mindset.
Duct Tape Chilli is as much about the creative process as it is about embracing imperfections and using them as a learning tool. I may not have perfected it yet, but this is just the beginning, both in my artistic journey and in my chilli-growing adventures.
